LIFE in BALANCE – Lessons I Learnt Swimming, Biking & Running

What has happened? Today we find ourselves working harder and longer with less leisure time for both ourselves and our families when as few as ten years ago they were forecasting the exact opposite. How often have you found yourself so wrapped up in everyday life that you have lost your grasp on what once was reality.  Bruce will share with you some of life’s lessons he has learnt while swimming, biking, and running which has been the result of his life transformation. You will leave this session with a few tools to assist you in “Balancing” your life.

Childhood Obesity In Canada – Where Are We Going?

We have all heard about this topic in the news, read about it in the papers, seen it in our classrooms or talked about it with friends. This session will provide you with the latest research and statistics on this topic as well as some real solutions on how we can combat this problem. We need to understand this problem and what it means in years to come if we do not solve this new epidemic. The future is scary and the solution needs to be acted upon today.

How To Light The Fire Inside

Bruce will assist your group in looking at ways we can positively deal with the internal struggle of getting on with those things we used to do without even thinking about it. We have all found ourselves in these situations and often find what Bruce calls “convenient” excuses as reasons to not perform or to perform poorly. Bruce will look at some of the reasons why do we do this and what we can simply do to once again be a star performer.

How To Balance the Scale

Have you found yourself pulled in what seem a million different directions on a daily basis? The demands of work, family, school, children’s activities etc. can often find us without having time for ourselves and feeling totally frazzled. Bruce will assist you taking a personal inventory and provide you with some simple tools so you can not only feel better but also be a better person for those that are important in your life.

Discover the many types of difficult people including The “Sherman Tank” and the “Think They Know It All” and what you can do to disarm them and maybe even allow them to see the brighter side of life. Obesity and Depression, Health Issues of The New Millennium

Although today Bruce is both mentally and physically the healthiest he has ever been, it was not always that way. In his not too recent past Bruce has had personal experience with both Obesity and Depression. Leadership, What The Books Often Don’t Tell You

Many books have been written on all the “proper” management techniques and methods we should be using in today’s workplace. However, what is often not talked about is the concept of “Informal Management”. This often-neglected management technique has been not only found to be extremely effective BUT it can be a lot of fun as well. I mean, after all, who does not want to put a little fun in the workplace.

Destiny – It Is Yours To Control

Do you ever see others or maybe yourself in some form of distress? It seems we often look outside ourselves for the reasons for our problems or better yet the solutions to the same.  Have you ever heard someone say that if they did not have any bad luck they would not have any luck at all and wonder why? If this sounds like you or someone you know Bruce will walk you through some practical discussions of ways we can control our destiny.

Ironman Triathlon, The Lifestyle And The People Who Do It

Bruce will take you inside the world of Triathlon but more directly into the world of Ironman Triathlon.  What is it about this sport, which seems extreme and crazy for most but still draws thousands upon thousands each and every year to push their bodies to their limit? Is it a race or a lifestyle and who is it that really does it?  You may have many questions and you may be even more surprised by some of the answers.
